Overview
Advocate bulk upload is now available. Instead of adding advocates one at a time, fill in the template, drop your CSV into Trusted, review what it found, and import. Companies in your file that don't already exist are created for you, and existing ones are matched by name or domain.
Most advocacy programmes already have their people in a spreadsheet somewhere: a CRM export, an event or webinar list, referrals, campaign sign-ups. Bulk upload is for exactly that moment, and for standing up a new workspace with a community you already have. For adding one person or editing a few records, the normal advocate screens are still quicker.
Nothing is saved until you say so. When you drop a file in, Trusted checks it row by row and shows you what it found before writing anything, so you can fix problems in your spreadsheet and try again. Only when you click Import are the advocates created.
Trusted also does the tidying up. It flags duplicate email addresses, matches each person to an existing company by name or domain, creates the company if it isn't there yet, and works out seniority from the job title. New advocates arrive as drafts, ready for you to review before they go live.
A few things worth knowing: the file needs to be a CSV (save from Excel as CSV UTF-8), up to 5 MB and around 200 rows per upload. Business email addresses help company matching work well, and consistent company naming avoids accidental duplicates.
